Master Latinos Income Tax Services was founded in 1990 in the Spring Branch neighborhood by Nohora Lozada, whose three decades of experience have established the firm as a trusted resource within the Greater Houston community. Her career has been defined by disciplined compliance, ethical standards, and a deep commitment to preparing tax returns accurately and in full accordance with federal and state law.

Over the years, she has assisted thousands of individuals, families, and business owners with personal and business tax filings, guiding clients through complex tax situations while emphasizing proper documentation and lawful reporting. Gilbert Avila, CPA

Certified Public Accountant | Tax & Business Advisory

Gilbert Avila, CPA, brings institutional-level technical training and advanced academic specialization to the firm. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, graduating with a quadruple major in Accounting, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Real Estate. He further specialized by obtaining a Master of Taxation (MTax) from Baylor University, deepening his expertise in complex federal taxation, entity structuring, and advanced tax strategy.

Professionally, Gilbert trained at a Big Four accounting firm and later gained experience at a nationally recognized public accounting firm. His background also includes roles within publicly traded corporations, where he worked in internal accounting functions, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit environments.

His experience spans:
